Jeff Kirby, Owner and Chairman of Puget Sound Security was recently honored by the Seattle Chapter of the FBI Seattle Citizens Academy with a Lifetime Membership Award.
In 2005, the Seattle office of the FBI began a program called the FBI Citizens Academy. This program is designed to identify select business leaders within the community and educate them in all aspects of FBI operations through an intensive 8 week course.
These individuals are then tasked with sharing the information learned and personally promoting public interest, awareness and sponsored programs with the community at large in the capacity of an emissary of the FBI.
Jeff completed the training in 2007 and has been a key part of the FBICAAA alumni, by meeting with other members at the Seattle FBI offices on a monthly basis.
Jeff has embraced his mission to provide training and awareness by using his endless energy to educate groups of individuals through circulation of child fingerprint ID kits, taking part in seminars that teach on-line computer predatory awareness and ID Theft. Since completing his own training, Jeff has chaired the ID Theft Committee and has tirelessly presented free of charge ID Theft Seminars to many locations and organizations such as high schools, HOA's, church groups, state organizations and power utility facilities
As the Chairman of the Education Agenda Committee for Lake Washington's School Districts’, Criminal Justice Classes, Jeff hosts sessions on an annual basis.
Since 2005, the Citizens Academy has processed in excess of 200 attendees. Jeff is one of only three to receive the "Lifetime Membership Award" in recognition of service and dedication above and beyond the call of volunteer duty.
